Blog as a Business Card
I found Jason Calacanis’ characterization of his blog as a business card pretty interesting. I’ve never thought of it that way. It’s definitely an interesting concept though.

This theme is based on Minima Plus, which is in turn based on blogger template Minima, originally by Douglas Bowman. Enhanced and ported to Wordpress by Theron Parlin. From there, all further bastardization was done by Ron Bieber.

Some people take it to the extreme of building a “personal” brand. http://www.brandlovehate.com/2006/06/developing_a_pe.html
It certainly makes one think twice about what they say on a my space page… (that’s why mine doesn’t contain my name and only half a picture)
For a while I was working on such a brand with my writing, etc… Then I decided that I really don’t get a long with people and that I’d just build my company and keep a low profile. I am taking up music again so all of this might change - well, I may try to build the brand. I can’t attest to ever getting along with anyone. No one ever listens afterall.
