Screencast Demo of Castblaster Podcasting Software

If you’ve been looking for a tool to make podcasting much easier than using Audacity, you might want to check out Castblaster. I’ve used it for quite some time and each release it just gets better and better.

While browsing the Castblaster forums, I came across this screencast put together by Troy of the Rutters Ramblings podcast that shows a pretty complete picture of what Castblaster does.

If you don’t feel like downloading the software, but are curious as to what you could get from it, check out the screencast. Yes, it can be that easy.

Podcast Site Availability

I’ve been having some availability issues with the podcast site and am trying to fix them. During this time the site will be temporarily unavailable (ironically). Thanks for your patience. I’ll have the site up as quickly as DNS can refresh.

Raw Voice Releases Podcasting Social Network Site

The folks over at Raw Voice have released BluBrry, a podcasting / social networking site. I haven’t had a lot of time to play around with it, but in the time that I have spent I have run across quite a few bugs like memory errors and a link going to the default Apache installation page when going to modify your profile. To be fair, the site is in beta right now, just being released last night. It definitely looks interesting and has some of the features of the Podshow Podcast Delivery Network beta sans the actual distribution of the media.

Check out the site and let me know what you think. I’ve got the podcast loaded in and I’m curious to see what kind of response it gets.

For those who do not know, Raw Voice is the company started by Todd Cochrane, the host of the Geek News Central podcast, a podcast I listen to all the time.

Keep up the great work Todd!

Keith and The Girl Dissect the Podshow Contract

On Monday’s episode of Keith and The Girl, Keith and Chemda dissect a copy of the Podshow contract that was sent to them by an anonymous listener. This was quite entertaining.

Funniest thing to me, a clause stating that you can be fired by podshow by e-mail.

Finally, if you don’t want to actually listen to the whole thing, Keith states at the conclusion of the main contract:

"And then you can sign it. Uh, Somebody did sign this one. Name - My Balls, email @yourmouth.org."

I think that pretty much states their opinion of the contract.
